Have you noticed your baby’s motor milestones regressing or hitting a plateau? Are they struggling to sit up, crawl, or walk despite months of traditional therapy? Does your child seem to fatigue easily, slouch constantly, and avoid physical activities altogether? Motor milestones are just one aspect we see with regressions! For the majority of kids struggling with missed motor milestones, the real root cause goes way beyond tight muscles and a weak core and may have been originally triggered by birth interventions such as forceps, vacuum, induction, and c-section deliveries. These sorts of physically traumatic births can cause what’s called subluxation of the brainstem and upper neck regions, where all motor tone and coordination are controlled. 🧠 This will then shift the nervous system as a whole into what’s called sympathetic dominance or excessive tone. THIS is what can lead to regressions or plateaus when it comes to PT and OT! The nervous system has to be regulated first! Then other therapies can help so much more!!

Teen Mental Health Isn’t Just a Trend—It’s a Crisis.
Let’s be real—what teens are going through today is heartbreaking. Over 44% of high school students say they feel persistently sad or hopeless. That’s not just a rough patch or teenage hormones... that’s a full-blown mental health crisis.

A fever might be one of the most fascinating responses within our bodies. A fever is not simply an elevated temperature; it’s a sophisticated neuroimmune response controlled by your brain and nervous system. Different levels of fevers point out varying degrees of immune activation 👇
🌡️ Low-grade fever: 99.6°F to 100.9°F
🌡️ Moderate fever: 101°F to 103°F
🌡️ High fever: Above 103°F
Here comes the nerdy part: fever production is primarily controlled by the hypothalamus, which is referred to as the body’s thermostat. When the immune system detects an infection, it releases chemicals that signal the hypothalamus to raise the body’s temperature “set point” to fight off that infection. This creates a controlled, intentional increase in temperature.
This is why suppressing a fever might not always be the best approach! A fever is actually a sign that your nervous system is regulating properly, actively coordinating a complex immune response to eliminate pathogens and restore health. Our bodies are so smart!!

Cortisol addiction is more common than you may think! For some of us, it feels good to achieve, create, grind, and hustle! None of those are a bad thing, either! Things start to spiral when the body can’t break away from stress. So even when we should be chillin’ on the couch for family movie night, our body can’t settle down and is constantly pumping stress hormones.
This isn’t necessarily a hormonal problem... It’s actually a nervous system dysregulation issue! Why? Because the nervous system is the master controller of everything, including hormonal regulation!
